Join the Facebook Group to help these - Kashin-Beck: Big Bone doesn't mean fat anymore(Clcik here)

This group's aim is to raise awareness of a much neglected disease. Kashin-Beck Disease, also termed Big Bone Disease, which is endemic to certain regions of Tibet, China, North Korea, and Siberia. It is a highly debilitating disease, affecting the bones and joints of the hands, fingers, elbows, knees, and ankles. Affected patients develop stiff deformed joints, shortened limb length and short stature. What this translates to is significantly reduced mobility and quality of life for these individuals. Since most of the affected live in rural areas and depend on farming for their livelihood, their physical health and capabilities are essential.

Please join this group and help raise awareness of this tragic disease. We are also trying to raise more money for research (to discover both the cause and prevention/cure) and also to improve the nutrition and health of the afflicted[endtext]
